“The Name of Jesus Is So Sweet” is a Christian hymn that was composed by Reverend William Clark Martin. It was first published in 1901.
William Clark Martin was born in 1864 in New Jersey. He was a minister of the gospel in the Baptist church.
He wrote many hymns during his lifetime though only a few are still popular. He died of heart failure in Florida in 1914.
