Lift Him Up Hymn Story
“Lift Him Up” is yet another hymn that was composed by Johnson Oatman Jr. The tune used is called, “How to reach the masses, men of every birth”.
Anytime I hear the word Lift him up I am reminded of the word of Jesus in John 12:32 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
There is no better way to reach the masses than by lifting the name of Jesus.
Tell people how God sent his only son to die on the cross of calvary for our sins. How he had to carry a heavy cross and suffered abuse and ridicule to save us.
How Jesus who lived in heaven where there’s in no hunger had to face that on earth.
You need to tell people how Jesus went about healing all manner of diseases.
Tell people of how Christ was a friend of sinners. How he dined with people with a bad reputation.
That Jesus will attract people to himself. I have seen grown men cry when they hear the story of the cross.
