“God is so good” is a Christian song that was composed by Zambian hymn writer, Paul Makai. It was translated into English by Marilyn Foulkes in 1970.
Paul Makai is a Zambian Christian and member of the Evangelical Church of Zambia. He has written several songs, most of which are referred to as anonymous or African traditional.
He is currently Student Dean at Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary.
